Andrew has over 25 years experience in the education sector, focusing on finance with experience of research grants funding. In his current role as Deputy Director of Finance at the University of Salford, Andrew is responsible for the day to day leadership of the Finance function ensuring the delivery of a high quality service across the University.

Andrew has been involved in Kidscan since its launch in 2002, when a colleague at the University of Salford suggested he get involved. Andrew jumped at the chance to be a part of such an important cause – to be able to play a part in such a critical initiative was an opportunity he could not turn down.

Andrew’s role at Kidscan is as an accountant, responsible for all financial aspects of the charity. This includes transaction approval, budget setting, forecasting, treasury management, filing annual tax returns, and producing audited financial reports and accounts in accordance with the latest SORP. Andrew sits on the Board of Trustees where he presents financial reports and offers advice to ensure the charity is governed effectively.
