Where your money goes

In the UK 20% of children diagnosed with cancer will not survive because treatment options are limited. Of those who do survive, 60% will develop life altering disabilities that can range from hearing loss to infertility and even heart failure. This happens because the treatments used to save their lives also cause lasting damage to their bodies.

By funding research at the University of Salford and beyond, Kidscan aims to increase survival rates whilst eliminating late effects by find new and improved treatments specifically for children. With the money you raise we are working towards a world where every child can survive cancer and go on to live the long healthy lives they deserve.
