Kidscan’s revised student placement programme has been running for two years and is currently supporting research by six undergraduate students, under the guidance of their academic supervisor. Kidscan intend to extend this scheme into the next academic year (2017-18) and will be awarding five grants of £2000 to support research into children’s cancer research.
The grants are awarded to supervisors, in academia or industry, and take the form of a £2000 bench fee to support the student’s laboratory work. Recipients of the award are responsible for the recruitment of the undergraduate student.
