We are looking a part-time fundraising and research administrator at our offices in Salford. A full job description is below.

18 hours per week

Salary £15,500 – £17,000 (full time equivalent) depending on experience

Job Purpose

To provide an efficient, totally reliable, professional administration service to manage various activities in our busy fundraising office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Managing Kidscan’s class-leading Collection Tins Programme, including –

-       Collection tin process management – cash handling, counting and recording, and cleaning collection tins for re-issue

-       Data recording – adding new tin hosts and new totals collected to our database, and preparing data for end-of-year mailing to all tin hosts

-       Collection Tin Host Liaison – celebrating the funds raised by hosts, and providing point-of-sale materials for hosts

Financial and Donor Support Administration, including –

-       Maintaining and implementing our processes and tasks for the recording and acknowledgement of all donations received

-       Developing new processes to increase the efficiency of our financial administration

-       Ensuring a high level of donor recording and recognition is maintained and developed, to build excellent donor relationships and maximise repeat giving/fundraising

Research Administration including –

-       working with our Scientific Director and Finance Director to ensure that all our communications and contracts with the researchers we fund, and the research bodies we engage with, are administered effectively

-       providing an administration service to the research grant application and peer review processes

Developing our Community Supporter Research – identifying Groups and Associations, schools, sports clubs etc to approach about support for Kidscan

Administration – managing office administration to ensure all facilities and contracts are maintained efficiently and cost-effectively, and all enquiries are dealt with effectively

Supporting the fundraising team, including –

-       Contributing to organisational effectiveness through positive team-working

-       Supporting Kidscan volunteers

-       Having a flexible approach to working hours, by agreement with your manager and job-share co-worker

-       Complying with Kidscan’s health and safety, confidentiality, data protection and other policies
