5 ways to support a charity from home

Whether its pounding the streets dressed as a monkey, packing bags at the supermarket or heading to an 80’s zumbathon, raising money for charity can often involve large gatherings and contact with lots of people. But as Coronavirus hits the UK many people are being advised to stay at home and to self-isolate, leaving supporters wondering what to do next!

Well worry not, we’ve brought together our Top 5 fundraising ideas, to keep you supporting charity, without leaving the house;

Sponsored Shave
Use your time to do, absolutely nothing! Let your hair or beard grow, ready to shave it off once everything is back to normal. You can ask your friends and family to sponsor you, or even convince them to take part themselves.

Shop Online
Can’t get to the shops? Or just trying to kill some time? Why not do some online shopping? Some the UK’s biggest online retailers, such as Amazon Smile and Give As You Live give a percentage of your purchase to your chosen charity without any cost to you!

Sell online!
Take advantage of your time at home by having a good old-fashioned spring clear out. You can sell your unwanted items on sites such as MusicMagpie, Shpock or Facebook Marketplace and donate the money to charity. Some sites such as Ebay for charity even allow you to sell products online and choose a % to go directly to your chosen charity.
