Spooky Fairy Dust

The community of Droylsden did it again! Their resident fairy Emma Power has been hard at work planning the best Spooky Halloween Trail EVER for the children of Droylsden and what an event it was! Thankfully the rain stayed away long enough for them to play games such as ‘Wrap the Mummy’ & Donut bobbing! Emma, her friends and family all rallied round to help, while local shops donated tons of decorations and goodies for the children. The costumes were fantastic, and the best bit was they managed to raise £173.89 for Kidscan!

Emma is a fantastic supporter and says having her own little boy Alfie, motivates her to want to make a difference for children with cancer. And she did just that – well done Emma and THANK YOU!!

Wheelie Dinosaurs

A fantastic group of dedicated bikers created a fundraising challenge with a difference! The little Rippers and SkillsLoop group set up a BMX Dino Adventure and raised £500 for Kidscan and Dementia UK!

It looked like a great day with lots of children riding around a course full of crazy twists and turns! Sean & Adam, who organised this, decided to make it a bit harder for themselves by wearing giant dinosaur costumes and riding very tiny bikes! Sadly, one dino had a problem with his bike and the fan in his suit so only one dino completed the race!! Thank you to everyone involved in such a fun challenge!!!

You can watch the ride on You tube here.  Partington's Holiday Park team abseil

Foggy Abseil

The wonderful team from Partington’s Holiday Parks, braved the cold to abseil 128ft from the Peel Tower Monument in Bury on Sunday 17th October!

9 members of staff from across the various Partington’s sites took part and raised £944.50 for Kidscan! It was a really foggy morning and sadly the view wasn’t great from the top, but I don’t think the team were thinking about that at the time!

Once they had all completed the abseil, they said they actually enjoyed it! Well done team and thank you for your support!Rachel Ryan Oxford half marathon

Autumn Running

Rachel Ryan is the Auntie of our lovely Kidscan ambassador Emma. She took on the Oxford Marathon on 17th October and did a fantastic job raising a huge £1396!

Rachel Gilbertson ran the Liverpool Rock n Rock half Marathon on 24th October in memory of her aunty Nic who was a paediatric consultant for children with Leukaemia. Thank you very much for your wonderful support Rachel and for raising £417.50!!

The Manchester marathon took place on 10th October, and we had several runners including Daniel Sweeney, David Leigh, Stephen Timothy, Kevin Lucas & Paul Taylor and they all totally smashed it! Collectively they raised over £3,000 so well done chaps!
