Linking your fundraiser to a public holiday is a great way to raise money for your chosen charity! To get you started we have picked out our top 5 holidays to give you some fundraising ideas!

Grand National – 4th – 6th April
Every year one of the most well-known horse racing tournament is held at Aintree. The Grand National spans 4 days and sees over 20 different races! With so much going on – it’s a great time to hold a fundraiser.

You could hold an office sweepstake on the big race, hold your own ladies day party or even hold your own Grand National Race – complete with cardboard hurdles!

St Georges Day – Tuesday 23rd April
St. Georges also known as the Feast of Saint George, celebrates the life of the Patron St of England, who died in AD 303. According to legend, St. George famously battled a dragon on the flat topped Dragon Hill in Uffington.

To celebrate this day there are hundreds of different ideas. You could decorate your office or school in the colours of the English Flag, host a “History of England” quiz, do a sponsored run up Dragon Hill in Uffington, or even host your own British themed party!

Britain’s Got Talent
It’s that time of year when thousands of people apply to one of the UK’s most impressive talent shows. If you want to join in the fun then why not fundraise for charity at the same time!?

You could invite your friends round for a Britain’s Got Talent party, host your own talent show at school or at work or even hold a sweepstake on the winner!

Easter – Sunday 21st April
