London Marathon runner Kelvin Wood visits our labs

Kelvin Wood was selected out 100’s of applications for our 1 place in the Virgin London Marathon 2020. We invited him along to take a tour of our lab, and he was blown away with the work we are doing. This has pushed him more to make a difference- and he is doing just that!

Kelvin has been fundraising for various charities over the last 10 years and has raised over £35,000 in memory of his father. He has decided to support Kidscan in memory of his dad and his dear friend the legendary singer, Joe Longthorne, who sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.

We are so very proud to have Kelvin running the marathon and being a wonderful member of #TEAMKIDCAN!

Kelvin is a singer and has been fundraising at the gig he does throughout the Northwest, and he has already smashed the £2000 target! He is doing a brilliant job and thank you, Kelvin, we’re so lucky to have you running for Kidscan!
