Housing Units reached fundraising milestone!

This month our CEO Bob Carter visited our long-time corporate partner Housing Units, who have announced Kidscan as their chosen charity of the year for the fifth year in a row!

Nick Fox – Chief Executive Officer of Housing Units said:

‘We elected Kidscan this year as our chosen charity for the fifth year running.   The Salford-based charity does amazing work for funding and managing research into new and improved treatments for children with cancer.

To date the total raised by Housing Units is an amazing £51,245.  During the last 5 years we have raised money from our annual golf day, staff quiz nights, in store raffles, Christmas jumper days, Coast to Coast bike rides, marathons and lots more.  To celebrate our 70th birthday a team of staff undertook a 70-mile challenge.  The HU staff have put there all into having fun but while raising money.’

Kidscan Chief Executive Bob Carter said:

‘We consider ourselves with all our supporters to be one big family, working together for a joint goal so to have such a famous family orientated company has Housing Units giving their support over so many years is testament to their dedication and commitment.

The challenges and initiatives that they have created and undertaken to support Kidscan is incredible over such a period of time and helps us in so many ways to help children of this generation and future generations’
