Kidscan celebrates best fundraising year to date!

Kidscan are proud to announce that through tireless fundraising and your generous donations, we raised a phenomenal £757,000* in 2016-17, our biggest ever annual total.

Over £100,000 came from individual donations and those who held fundraising events on behalf of Kidscan. Events included Tara’s Terrific Haircut, Joan Hall’s Zipwire, Abseil and Crate Climb, and Elliot Wilkinson’s 100 mile bike ride! This is in addition to the funds raised through those who took on challenges including the Great North Run and Manchester Marathon.

We also saw a phenomenal amount donated from York Student Union, who ran a fantastic Jailbreak challenge, raising over £18,000! And not to forget over £65,000 was brought in from our Tin Collection Scheme. The continued support from our corporate partners including Housing Units of Hollinwood, Marks & Spencer’s Lowry Outlet, TD Direct and Fisher German also helped to boost the final amount.

We’d like to thank all those who supported us in 2016-17. This mammoth amount will help to fund new research so we can bring forward the day when children diagnosed with cancer can not only survive but also thrive into a healthy adulthood.
