Kidscan North West Charity Awards Nominations

We are delighted to announce that Kidscan has been shortlisted and are finalists for three awards at this year’s North-West Charity Awards 2019 which will take place at the Principal Hotel in Manchester in September.

  • Small Charity, Big Impact
  • Young Charity Ambassador of the Year
  • Volunteer Team of the Year

The North West Charity Awards is the only event in the region truly dedicated to celebrating the great work done in our third sector.

North West Charity Awards celebrate the people who make these charities amazing: volunteers, trustees and ambassadors.  — 2018 awards saw over 400 charity leaders in one room.

Kidscan Chief Executive Bob Carter said:

“To be a finalist in one category is a huge honour but to be a finalist in three categories is an outstanding testament to the dedicated work of our Trustees, Board and our small team at our office supplied to us by Salford University whose ongoing support contributed to these amazing achievements.

To reach this stage in the company of so many other hard working and higher profile charities reflects the progress we at Kidscan have been making to help more children with cancer survive and thrive for this and future generations.

We might be small in terms of administration, but we are big in the research we undertake which is shared locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

To have the ongoing support of our Young Ambassadors in promoting our work and mission to different audiences across all sectors is an inspiration to all in the challenges they and their families have had to live with

Volunteers are often the ‘unsung hero’s and heroin’s of many charities for our volunteer team to be a finalist is a reward to them that I believe a price cannot be put on because they are priceless to us at Kidscan”
