Heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt and more are wildly known to be carcinogenic. This is the same for many pesticides and food enhancers. The toxicological pathways in many cases for these carcinogens have been elucidated and regulation has been written for which suppliers have to abide. Globalisation, counterfeits and open markets have brought several problems in this topic. It has been reported many food products as well as toiletries have higher than normal contents of heavy metals and pollutants; affecting children health, leading to different types of cancers.
