Bacteria cause illnesses and are treated with antibiotics, but sometimes the bacteria are able to stop the antibiotiocs working by producing substances that block them, this is known as antibiotic resistance. It’s possible that chemotherapy may work in the same way and this study will look at whether this is the case.
