Effects of a new class of leukaemia drug on normal myeloid leukocytes and lymphocytes

Assessing the effects of a new class of leukaemia drug on normal myeloid leukocytes and lymphocytes this includes neutrophils, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils, T-cells, B-cells and natural killer cells. The project will produce valuable data regarding the targeted nature of this new therapeutic. The compound is a potent inducer of cell death in leukaemia cell lines and has recently been patented by the University of Salford. Its discovery and development has been funded, in part, by Kidscan for a number of years.
