Probing the biological effect of repurposed drugs in acute myeloid leukaemia

Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) is an aggressive and common childhood cancer leading to a build-up of non-differentiated, dysfunctional cells from the myeloid lineage [1]. Patients can die within weeks of diagnosis and unfortunately the response to treatment and overall survival generally remains poor [2].
