From Salford to Blackpool for Martyn Hett!

On Sunday 8th July, Warren and Eddie took part in the Salford to Blackpool bike ride in memory of Martyn Hett who tragically passed away in the Manchester Bomb attack last year – throughout his life, Martyn often took part in many charity fundraisers for Kidscan and made a huge positive impact on those that he met.

Warren and Eddie had close links to Martyn Hett and his family and felt that the bike ride was something which was important to participate in. The journey started at media city in Salford, and ended at the south promenade in Blackpool!

Warren was particularly brilliant as he had been knocked off his bike by a car on the Thursday before the ride, but still managed to complete the Manchester to Blackpool ride on the Sunday. He borrowed a bike and cycle shoes. They completed the race in 4hrs 15 mins and were joined by Martyn Hett’s parents on the finish line.

Warren and Eddie have raised a phenomenal £1100 to date and the donations are still coming in. Everyone at Kidscan wants to send a massive well done to Warren and Eddie for their determination to complete this challenge – Martyn Hett will always b
