Help Kidscan to increase our brand awareness. From promoting upcoming events by distributing materials to helping us run our website and social media. If you have marketing and events experience we’d love to hear from you! We also welcome those with design skills who are willing to help to create marketing materials.
We always look for people who are able to support with researching new events for people to get involved with, organisation of upcoming events and representing and supporting Kidscan on event days.
From street collections in town centres to collections in shopping malls, we always welcome volunteers who like to meet and greet the public and collect their lovely money.
Could you be the face of Kidscan in your area? Kidscan supports fundraising events across the country, with a reach across the UK. We welcome volunteers who can increase awareness of Kidscan, help with with local events and cheque presentations.
With over 2,500 tins across the UK, we’re looking for volunteers who can manage an area for us, installing and collecting our purple tins. If you’re reliable and organised, this is a great way to help Kidscan. And if you’re a natural-born sales-person, you could recruit new tin hosts for us on your patch.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, from students to job seekers and full-time employees to retired folk. All we ask is that you’re reliable and able to commit to an agreed amount of time with us so we are able to plan our resources effectively. If you’re handling cash, we will ask for a reference.
You can give as much time as you like as a volunteer. We have volunteers who are able to devote full weeks, a few hours a week or help out in one-day spells. If you can tell us your availability we can match you to the perfect volunteering opportunity.
Volunteering can be a great way to enhance your C.V., strengthen key skills and learn new skills. It’s a great way to meet new people, try out a new career and feel good about helping a charity.
The skills you need depend on the kind of volunteering you’d like to do. If you’d like to work in the office, basic computer skills are essential; if you’d like to do collections then people skills are essential. But don’t feel you have to be a pro at everything. We can work with you to improve your skills and match a volunteering opportunity to you.
At Kidscan we accept volunteers of all ages, we just ask that if you’re under 16 years old you need to be accompanied by an adult.
