Read MoreLee started volunteering for Kidscan in March 2019 and has since Volunteered over 60 hours with Kidscan. Everyone at Kidscan wanted to show how much we appreciate the work he has done and let him know what a huge impact he has made to the charity. Well, Lee has volunteered here he has built on his passion for computers by training in new software and working on various projects within the office. It is a pleasure working with Lee, his sense of humour is infectious and makes the office a great place to be!
“My father died from cancer when I was very young, and I just saw what it did to my dad. I just wanted to get involved in something that is involved in cancer, and I couldn’t think of a small child dying of the disease and the knock-on effect with the whole family, not just the child it’s parents it’s relatives.”
“A sense of accomplishments, I have done all the tasks I have been given to do I have done them. I’ve liked learning about all the different projects, and now I’m doing different projects, and I like that it makes a difference.”
“Do it, or I will hunt you down… No, I’m just kidding. I know some people have said to me that I wouldn’t work for anything, but I don’t see it like that at all. I love doing it. I had always loved doing volunteering right from when I first volunteered 3 or 4 years ago. I said to some people that volunteering is the best job I have ever had only because of what you are getting out of it, you can help people – if I can walk home and say right, I have helped someone today then I’m happy with that. As long as it helps someone, then I’m happy with that.
