Ward 84

On the 22^nd July, hundreds of lucky children and their families dressed up for an amazing party at the Old Victoria Baths in Manchester. The day was packed with fun games, face painting, party food, and even appearances from Disney princesses!

Ward 84 is a specialist oncology and heamotology inpatient unit at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which due to its prevalence across the North West, sees many childhood cancer patients every year.

Each year the children and families from the ward are invited to a party organised by the group – Faces of Ward 84, to give the children the opportunity to make amazing memories away from the day the day pressures of being in hospital.

Kidscan was lucky enough to be invited to the party, where we got to talk to many brave and inspiring children!

Our Fundraising Manager Emma Pawluk said “The day was an emotional one!! It’s always amazing to see how positive families are in these difficult times. Thank you to everybody involved! It was one nobody will be forgetting”.
