KidsCan was proud to showcase our latest digital and VR innovation alongside long-standing corporate partner British Airways, as part of their Christmas engagement programme across the UK.
Throughout the festive period, KidsCan attended British Airways’ Head Office Christmas Fair, where staff were invited to experience our VR Laboratory Tour and an immersive freediving game, both developed as part of the new KidsCan Connect XR portal. These interactive experiences give audiences a behind-the-scenes insight into paediatric cancer research and demonstrate how digital technology can be used to reduce isolation, inspire curiosity, and support wellbeing for children affected by cancer.
Following the Head Office event, KidsCan was also invited to exhibit at British Airways’ Manchester and Newcastle Christmas Fairs, extending our reach to teams across the UK and enabling even more staff to engage directly with our mission and innovation.
British Airways has supported KidsCan for many years and played a vital role in funding the initial build and vision of KidsCan Connect, a ground-breaking XR portal that uses the power of virtual reality technology to connect children, families, researchers and educators. Their continued commitment has helped KidsCan move beyond traditional awareness-raising and into meaningful, hands-on engagement that brings KidsCan's work to life immersively.
These events helped raise awareness of childhood cancer and highlighted the importance of innovation in supporting children and families during and beyond treatment.
