Kidscan took to the Trafford Centre for a pre-holiday carol-singing marathon on a busy Saturday just before Christmas!

Ordsall A cappella Singers setup their podium at 10am as the festive shoppers began to pack out the Trafford Centre. Armed with nothing but their voices (and a set of purple flashing lights) the group kicked off the marathon with some festive favourites including Frosty the Snowman and Jingle Bells.

Performing A cappella the choir filled the Trafford Centre causing many shoppers to stop in their tracks to take in the festive tunes. One cheery passer-by couldn’t resist joining the choir for a couple of sing-a-longs!Kidscan ambassador Charlotte Jennings joined the fundraiser with her family to collect money for Kidscan and to raise awareness of the issues surrounding childhood cancer & the treatments used.

After an impressive three hours singing the choir passed the stage to Charity Aid who finished the marathon with a huge five-hour sing-a-thon. Complete with booming backing tracks and dancing Santa’s, Charity Aid put on a fantastic show that lasted until 8pm!All together we raised over £1,600 and would like to thank Ordsall A cappella Singers, Charity Aid, All of the volunteers who joined us and all the shoppers at the Trafford Centre for donating generously to this amazing cause!
