On the 27th April Kidscan descended on Stockport’s famous event ‘Foodie Friday’ to raise awareness of children's cancer. Foodie Friday is a popular event amongst the local community which happens every few months – we were delighted to have a stall with collection tins and plenty of information leaflets for people to find out about our mission to find safer treatments for children diagnosed.Our ambassadors Emma and Archie joined us to collect money and talk to supporters about the work that we do as a charity, and our aspirations for the future. Throughout the evening people came and kindly donated and took the time to find out about our charity – events like this are not only fun to do but are an amazing way for us to reach out to new supporters and promote our research to the public.On the night, Stockport’s very own band Blossoms kindly signed a T-shirt for Kidscan! The Stockport lads had their own ice cream van which was a massive attraction of the night – Foodie Friday was a huge success for everybody involved and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
