What is the minimum sponsorship amount?

If you purchase a Kidscan Charity place, you will notice the entry price is lower than if you purchase your ticket directly. That’s because Kidscan purchase a number of charity places for the race in advance.

To ensure that Kidscan can cover any costs associated with the event we will ask you to raise a minimum amount of money for Kidscan in return for your charity place.

For the Greater North Run Tickets are £25 with a minimum fundraising target of £250

How do I raise the minimum sponsorship amount?

Fundraising can be easier than you think! As soon as you are signed up you can set up an online donation page or use one of our paper sponsor forms to get your fundraising off to a great start.

We will also send you a fundraising pack, full of tips and tricks to help you reach your fundraising goals. You’ll also be introduced to our fundraising team, who are on hand to help you with your fundraising.

Can my family and friends cheer me on?

We love making as much noise as possible on race day! As the big day gets closer we will send you details of where our cheer point will be so you can invite your friends and family! Let us know in advance, and we’ll make sure we have our purple flags ready!

Note: Due to Covid19 restrictions some events may not have cheer points. We are following to guidance of event organisers and will keep our runners updated.

Where your money goes

In the UK 20% of children diagnosed with cancer will not survive because treatment options are limited. Of those who do survive 60% will be left with disabilities that can range from hearing loss to hear problems caused by treatments that damage their bodies.

By funding research at the University of Salford and across the UK, Kidscan are working towards a world where every child diagnosed with cancer can both survive and live the long lives they deserve.
