Professor Arturo Sala

About Professor Sala

Current Position: Professor of Translational Cancer Biology and Deputy Director Brunel Institute of Cancer Genetics and Pharmacogenomics, Brunel University.
Professor Sala trained in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology at the University of Rome and the Italian National Institute of Health. An international post-doctoral fellowship from the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC) took him to the Kimmel Cancer Institute, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, to work in the laboratory of Prof. Bruno Calabretta.
In 2001 he joined the UCL Institute of Child Health as Senior Lecturer becoming a Reader. 2011 he was appointed Professor of Translational Cancer Research and Deputy Director at the Brunel Institute of Cancer Genetics and Pharmacogenomics then in 2016 joined the Synthetic Biology Theme in the Institute of Environment, Health and Societies.
