Exploring the use of Nanotechnology for targeted immunotherapy of Neuroblastoma

Nanoparticles (small particles) can be used to form a capsule around a drug that only comes off and releases what’s inside when the drug reaches the part of the body that needs treating, this makes is safer as the drugs can’t damage normal healthy tissue on their way to the site of the cancer.

The plan for this study is to look for the best nanoparticles that can help in the treatment of a Nerve cell cancer called a neuroblastoma and particularly to help to deliver chemotherapy to the nerve tumour directly.
