There is a need for treatments for childhood cancers which are more effective and produce less debilitating side-effects. One approach to drug treatment of cancer is to interfere with cell signalling pathways which transmit messages to cells, causing them to divide uncontrollably.
This proposal details the continuation of research into molecules which are able to prevent specific cell-signalling interactions and may have potential in the development of new anti-cancer agents relevant to paediatric cancer.
