Read MoreWe want to share with you the amazing story of Alex and Walt’s inspiring decision to travel from Lancashire to Mongolia in a converted Kangol for Kidscan – all without assistance for ten thousand miles. The trip will last for around 11 weeks in total – we are all behind you both!
The couple are aiming to raise £1000 to split between two charities – Cool Earth and Kidscan! Their efforts and ambition to complete the rally has been amazing; it isn’t the easiest to go on the road for almost 3 months!
Alex’s mum is also in her first year as a PhD student on a Kidscan placement, studying Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and helping with all the vital research.
The easiest part of the journey is getting across Europe – however, reaching Khazakstan and getting to dirt tracks will prove a difficult task which is a lot slower and tougher for the journey. However, Alex and Walt’s determination will help them take on whatever difficulties they face, and we are all behind them on their mission!
