Aoife and Holly volunteer's of the month!

  1. Here’s a recent interview we did with two of our volunteer’s Aoife and Holly. Over the past few weeks, they have helped us out at various collections points and brought all the cool and wacky science projects along as well. Both Aoife and Holly are our volunteer’s of the month and we look forward to all the many SciArt projects they come up with next!

  1. Why Kidscan?

  2. The opportunity presented itself to us because of Aoife’s connection and previous volunteer work with Kidscan. When we were discussing who to work with, Kidscan had the most promise for allowing us to have creative freedom and flexibility with our studies when it came to organising events.
  1. What activities did you participate in?

Collection points at Tesco, Middleton and Sainsburys, Urmston.

  1. What did you get out of volunteering?

It was a fantastic research opportunity for our SciArt project. It was a great way to network and meet fun and creative people along the way. We felt proud that we could use our workshop to help the charity.

  1. What would you say to someone who was considering volunteering?

Do it! Their very flexible with times you can volunteer, if you present any creative ideas for a collection, they’ll take them on, and because it’s a small charity, you’ll be treated as an individual.

  1. Do you have blogs artist blogs we can link too?
