Blossoms at Stockport Plaza

On 5th May 2018, Stockport band Blossoms headlined the Stockport Plaza three times in two days to promote the release of their second hit album ‘Cool Like You’ – we were lucky enough to get invited to their matinee gig!

Several representatives of Kidscan went to the event including our Relationship Manager Claire, Digital Marketing apprentice Cerys, and our ambassador Charlotte. Before the gig, we were lucky enough to head backstage and meet the band before their big show! The band were extremely interested in our work as a charity and the research that we do into finding safer treatments for children with cancer. We got a group picture with the band, and drummer Joe Donovan even wore a Kidscan t-shirt for the picture and the gig!

As people queued for entry to the Plaza, our representatives received donations with collection tins and buckets – the crowd were very interested in our charity and were kind enough to donate their money.

Claire, Charlotte and Cerys were so grateful to have the pleasure of attending the gig – the band played a lengthy set and had the crowd loving every minute.

The day was a brilliant experience for everybody involved and an excellent way to spread the awareness of our constant work to find treatments for children with cancer that are safe, and avoid life threatening late-effects.
