Read More#Teamkidscan kicked off Children’s Cancer Awareness month with a bang after a fantastic collection at Stockport County Football Club!
Kidscan were announced as one of six chosen local charities to work in partnership with Stockport County throughout the 2018/19 football season –a fantastic opportunity for Kidscan, which will help us to raise both awareness of children’s cancer, and funds for vital research.
Our fundraising Manager Emma Pawluk explained “Our new partnership with Stockport County Football Club is a fantastic opportunity for Kidscan – I am looking forward to more collections at the games!”
On the day, we were joined by volunteers, our ambassadors and their families, including Charlotte Jennings and brave Emma Neal who is currently undergoing treatment. The day was an amazing experience for all involved! Our ambassadors were invited to watch the game, which Stockport County won 3-1! The collection raised an amazing £299 , which is enough to fund 25 hours of vital research into finding safer treatments for children that are diagnosed with cancer.
